ATEX Approval
The range of Samiflex couplings has been approved under ATEX directive 94/9/EC - for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Close coupled
Available in pilot bore, bored & key & also machined to suit taper lock bushing. These are designed for a shaft to shaft connection to minimise the distance between the motor and driven equipment.
Spacer Type
Used to connect two rotating shafts that are separated by a distance, creating a gap (Distance Between Shaft Ends - DBSE) that allows for easy maintenance of equipment, such as removing pump impellers, without moving the driver or driven machinery.
Typically used in high-maintenance industrial applications—particularly motor-pump assemblies

The elastic insert is made of a very special polyurethane elastomer compound which is manufactured to an exceptional quality, providing all the required characteristics of a high performance elastic coupling.
• High breakage and shearing resistance, and tensile strength.
• High shock-absorbing capacity, stable, constant resistance.
• High resistance to abrasion, humidity, oils, corrosive vapours and numerous chemical products.
• Stability of the performance characteristics from -40 ºC to 80 ºC for standard manufacture insert. Type HT inserts are used for applications between -40 and 140 ºC.
• Excellent resistance providing a long life in abrasive, corrosive, humid atmospheres, all without lubrication or maintenance.
Samiflex elastic inserts are manufactured in three qualities and five hardness's, depending on the application.
